John Bunyan Baptist Church is led by an ordained minister and an elected team of responsible men and women called deacons. Everyone helps to make the decisions in a Baptist church by meeting together as a whole church. We also have an administrator to help us get things done.

Wale became the pastor of the church in 2020.
​He is married to Christine and has two sons, Joshua and Jaydn.  He is also the Justice Enabler for the Baptist Union.

Amy has been the administrator for the church since 2018.  She is married to Neil and they have two cats.  She also has admin roles at Southern Counties Baptist Association & Headington Baptist Church.

Nettle Melhado
Deacon
Nettle is originally from Jamaica and came to this country in 1967. She has been attending John Bunyan Baptist Church since 1988 and has been a Deacon for 15 years!

Ayodele Okuyemi
Deacon
Ayo is originally from Nigeria and came to England in 2003, joining JBBC in 2020, and becoming a Deacon 3 years ago.  He works as a Social Worker and lives in Littlemore with his wife Toyin and son Joshua.

Safeguarding Officer:

Sharon Evans
Sharon has been attending JBBC for over 15 years after bringing her mum to church in the 1980s when she started to become unwell with Alzheimer's.
Now retired, Sharon spent 40 years working with adolescents for the County Council.
